Dora Paynter

BA (hons) Fine art, Cert ed, ALA

Dora is a professional librarian and art teacher, who completed her fine art degree at Kent Institute of Art & Design in 1996. She is employed full time as a school librarian in Malvern. Dora works primarily with acrylic and collage, occasionally adding objects to give relief to the two dimensional surface. Much of her work during and after her degree involved memory and the senses. Moving from Kent to Worcestershire in 2003 had a dramatic effect on her creativity. Current pieces still involve memory and growth; however the surreal chaos of her previous work has changed to more serious mark making with an introspective feel.
