WANA
An ambitious visual arts project is underway in Pershore. This will be an opportunity for artists living in the Wychavon area to exhibit in the town in August 2008 at Number 8 Community Arts Centre and hopefully local studios and other venues as an ‘Open Studio’ type event in 2009 and onward. The event is being steered and developed by a newly formed group called Wychavon Area Network of Artists.
Artists wishing to get involved, or anyone who feels they can help this project develop are invited to contact the group and contribute. The group meets regularly, usually on Thursday evenings.

WANA held their first 'Social' meeting at Number 8 Arts Centre (Pershore) on the 9th of May (2008). It was a great success and was well attended. Intended as a networking opportunity, the meeting was the first of regular meetings aimed at keeping the group in touch with each other. Thanks to all who attended and thanks to Dora, Jack and Jane for hanging in there...

WANA member Melanie Thorn is part of an exhibition of five recently graduated artist at Gardens Gallery, Montpellier, Cheltenham. The exhibition is entitled Next Phase and runs from August 28th to September 2nd 2008.
All WANA members have a free invite to the private view which takes place on the 28th August between 6pm and 9pm at this address.
